It is necessary to check and maintain the brake valve of the car. What are the principles?
1. The basic components that often need maintenance in the braking system are brake pads, brake discs, and brake oil. Brake pads are a key safety component in a car's braking system. Because the brake pads play a decisive role in the braking effect. Utilize the friction between the brake pads and the drum or disc to convert the kinetic energy of the vehicle into heat energy, which is consumed during the friction process, so as to achieve the purpose of vehicle deceleration and braking. Brake oil (also known as brake fluid) is mainly used to transmit the pressure in the hydraulic brake system of the car to make the wheel brake achieve the braking effect. The brake disc is mainly used for braking, and its braking force comes from the brake caliper. When the vehicle brakes while driving, the brake calipers clamp the brake disc to slow down or stop. Brake pads are the most critical safety components in the braking system.
2. When driving, avoid sudden braking or reduce the braking frequency, which will reduce the wear of the brake pads. The thickness of new brake pads is about 1.5 cm and must be replaced when worn to 3-5 mm. The front wheel brake pads need to be replaced every 30,000 kilometers, and the rear wheel brake pads need to be replaced every 50,000 to 60,000 kilometers. (Because the self-weight, load, and road conditions of various models are different, the wear and tear are also different. Therefore, even if you do not replace it, you must increase the frequency of self-inspection outside this mileage range to eliminate hidden dangers.) After replacing the new brake pads, be sure to step on them a few more times For braking, eliminate the gap between the brake shoe and the brake disc to avoid accidents, and the best braking effect can be achieved after running 200 kilometers.
3. The thickness of the brake disc is much larger than that of the brake pad friction block, and the brake disc is mainly made of HT-250 gray cast iron, or the disc made of higher standard materials, has sufficient hardness. During friction deceleration, the degree of wear is low. Therefore, many vehicles only need to check and replace the brake discs when the brake pads are replaced for the second time. However, it cannot be ruled out that some vehicles use slightly worse materials, and the degree of wear will be higher. Such vehicles can only be experienced through the actual feeling of braking force. If the braking distance is significantly extended during the use of the vehicle, and there is not enough direct deceleration feeling when braking suddenly, the problem with removing the brake pads is that the brake discs are severely worn.
